More Ohioans, famous and lesser-known are showing up on the list of investors who allegedly lost money in the $50 billion Bernie Madoff fraud scandal.
Court documents released in New York show the Ohio victims include two Cleveland business leaders, industrialist Monte Ahuja and American Greetings chairman Morry Weiss.
Retired teacher Robin Lieberman of Cleveland Heights and her husband lost much of their retirement money. Lieberman says she's grateful that a $1 million minimum prevented her from investing an inheritance from her mother.
Judy Michaelson of Delaware in central Ohio says her father invested with Madoff and died last year without knowing his life's earnings went down the drain. She won't disclose the amount of losses.
Defense lawyers say Madoff has cooperated with authorities to help identify assets.
