Spanish lawyers pleased at Santander Madoff offer

MADRID, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Lawyers for Santander (SAN.MC) customers affected by the alleged Bernard Madoff fraud welcomed on Wednesday the bank's decision to compensate all individual clients who suffered losses.

"This is good news but we have to look at it in closer detail," a lawyer for Cremades & Calvo Sotelo told Reuters.

The law firm will make a statement later on Wednesday regarding its next line of action in representation of its clients, he said. (Reporting by Tracy Rucinski; editing by Jason Webb)
