Financial Times: In Depth Madoff Scandal Coverage

JEFFERSON CITY--Missouri's retirement account is about $3.5 million lighter thanks to a scam by former Nasdaq Stock Market chairman Bernard Madoff. State Treasurer Clint Zweifel says the money from the Missouri State Employees' Retirement System was placed with Seattle-based Silver Creek Capital Management, which invested the funds with Madoff.

The link to Madoff and the lost money was discovered earlier this week.
